I think Soph’s smile in this pic says it all!
The girl loves anything and everything to do with pumpkins, so this was right up her alley. Every time we drive by a pumpkin patch (or even Walmart, cause they have pumpkins set out) she releases the loudest screech she can, at a pitch that shouldn’t even be possible for human beings to produce.
We’re going to go pick our pumpkins tonight, and I’m kinda worried her little 3-year-old self won’t be able to handle that much excitement. But that’s why we’ve been exposing her to pumpkins a little bit at a time. Ya know… so the shock of being able to take one home with us won’t put her into a happiness-coma.
Trust me. It’s a thing.
This little project was the perfect amount of pumpkin exposure, and really easy to make. All you need is orange pom poms, Elmer’s glue, a piece of paper, and a green marker.
Just glue the pom poms to the paper and let them dry. Once they’re ready, draw on some stems and you’re good to go!
Soph loved gluing all the pom poms down, and would’ve used the entire bag if I’d let her. You could also make a fun Halloween scene and draw in different elements. We probably would’ve, but a certain someone was only interested in the pumpkins 🙂
