The Bleach Trick

November 5, 2014 by Alli Leave a Comment

Use a mixture of bleach and water to get out set-in stains!

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to scrub stains out of my little monkeys’ clothes.

Ketchup? Yep.

Chocolate? You betcha.

Poop? More times than I can count.

That’s why I dress my kids in white shirts as much as possible. It’s just so much easier to clean! And this little trick is sheer genius. My sister is the one who told me about it, but I’m not sure where she got it from.

All you need is bleach, water, and a Q-tip!

Use a mixture of bleach and water to get out set-in stains

Mix the bleach and water together (50/50 ratio) and use the Q-tip to dab it onto the stain. Once the whole stain is covered, put the clothes into the washer and run it immediately.

This trick has saved my life! Well… at least a lot of my kids clothes. Even all of those old onesies that I kept even thought they were covered in Sophie’s various body fluids. They’re as good as new, now! And thank goodness, because Heaven forbid I actually buy some new ones 🙂
