Confession: I hate Valentine’s Day. A lot.
In school, it was a competition to see who got the most chocolates and flowers from their boyfriend (or in my case, my mom…)
Now that I’m married, I don’t hate it any less. I’ve told Jonny on many occasions that I think it’s downright silly. Having him bringing me flowers on a day where men are SUPPOSED to bring their wives flowers, means almost nothing. He’s only doing it because he feels obligated to. When he randomly comes home from work with a bouquet of roses? Now THAT’S romantic 🙂
Regardless of my feelings towards this holiday, I took advantage of it last year by taking these adorable pictures of the kids!
It was so easy, too! I used my cricut to cut out a bunch of hearts, but you could use a simple paper punch.
At first, I tried stringing them all together and hanging them up. They kept flipping around and getting tangled, though.
So then I just taped them up onto the wall, and it worked great!
I mean, really… How cute are these little monkeys?
These pics work great to tuck into Valentine’s Day cards for family members, or as a gift to your hubby! Or just to plaster over your living room walls so you can see them every day 🙂
