Remember how I said that I’m a creature of habit? Well, it turns out I passed that on to my little monkeys. Every day when I ask Sophie what she wants for lunch, it’s the same response: “peanut butter sandwich!” She doesn’t even need jelly on it, which I think is pretty boring.
Needless to say, we tend to get in a rut with our lunches. A peanut-butter-on-whole-wheat kind of rut. And that is not the kind of rut you want to be in.
As it turns out, eating a healthy lunch with a wide variety of foods isn’t as hard as it sounds! You just have to be a little creative. So I’ve compiled a list of over 50 different ideas of foods to pack in your kiddos’ lunches for school (or for home!).
Even though Soph always asks for the same thing every day, she has no problem eating any of the options on this list. And I love giving her something different every day!
When you go to pack a lunch, just pick a food from each category. Obviously, scale it up or down depending on the size/appetite of your child 🙂 If you need even MORE ideas, be sure to head over to my sidebar and sign up for my emails! Not only will you get a heads up each time I post, but you’ll receive my Healthy Snacking Packet, which has even more yummy ideas!
