There is something about recreating my childhood traditions with my own kids that makes me feel so… old. It doesn’t seem like it was that long ago that I was blindfolded in my parents’ kitchen, while my brother fed me the most awful tasting thing he could find in the pantry. And now I’m doing that to my own daughter! 😉
The game is simple… Put a blindfold on your kiddo and feed them an assortment of foods. Then let them try and guess what they’re eating! It’s fun to use a wide variety of textures, temperatures, and tastes. For example: ice cream (cold/sweet), pretzels (salty/crunchy), peanut butter (creamy), etc.
Sophie loved trying to figure them all out, and I only had to give her a few hints! The craziest thing I gave her was mustard, and that was the only one she didn’t guess.
I wasn’t as kind to Jonny… he got lemon juice! But then Sophie made it up to him by feeding him a marshmallow 🙂
It was so much fun, and we will for sure be doing this again!
