These superhero granola bars are so fun and easy! They make the perfect kid snack. Free printable included!

As much as I hate to admit it, my little boy is growing up. In my mind, Owen’s still a baby, so it’s strange to see him act like a big boy! He’s so independent, and insists on doing everything by himself (whether or not he can actually do it!). He’s also developing his own opinion on things, and has his own favorite shows, toys, and activities. As sad as it is to see my baby grow up, it really is fun to see his personality come through.

One of his most recent discoveries is superheroes. He thinks he’s as strong as the Hulk, and flexes his muscles for me all the time, especially when he’s wearing his superhero shirt 🙂 I figured it was high-time I worked on a blog project just for Owen, so we made some pretty fun superhero snacks.

We used the new MARVEL Chewy Granola Bars, which were delicious! They’re 40% bigger than the normal ones (the 24g bars), which Sophie and Owen loved. The wrappers have different MARVEL characters on them – The Hulk, Spiderman, Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, and Owen’s favorite: Captain America.

Want a fun superhero snack? Try this tutorial using MARVEL Chewy Granola Bars!

They also come with a collector card on the back – Thor, Hawk Eye, Spider Man, or Iron Man. Owen carried his Thor card around all afternoon 🙂

While the bars and Thor card were enough to get my little superhero excited, we decided to spice things up a bit. I made some printable superhero decorations and glued them onto the wrappers. Not too bad, eh?

These free printables make it so easy to create a fun superhero snack for kids!

And because that wasn’t enough, we took it a step further and made Sophie and Owen into superheroes, as well! All I did was take their pictures, print them, and cut out there bodies. Then glue those onto the wrappers.

Tutorial for these cute superhero snacks! Kids will love them!

I made little masks out of felt, and cut out eye holes with a hole punch. Then I cut out some capes (triangles with the tops cut off) and the first letters of their names. I hot glued the letters on, then hot glued the capes onto the backs of the bars. So cute!

Oh my heavens, they LOVED them. Owen kept giggling and pointing to it, saying “Owen!” It was so sweet.

Make your own superhero snack with this simple tutorial!

These would make a cute snack to sneak into your child’s school lunch – they would be so surprised! And how perfect would they be at a superhero birthday party? The good thing about granola bars is that they make a great snack anytime of the day. We sure love them at our house. I might just have to come up with some more silly ways to decorate them 🙂

If you want to make your own, you can find the MARVEL Chewy Bars at Walmart in the cereal aisle – with all of the other granola bars. And be sure to head on over HERE for some more superhero snack ideas!
